In the studio

Alison’s creative industries career has come full circle. She completed an Associate Diploma in Visual Arts over 30 years ago while training as a graphic designer in a fast paced advertising art department. Her eye for detail and ability to push the boundaries of the brief, led to many highly distinctive illustration projects for editorial special features then into working freelance.

Her passion for all things art, design and colour has seen her tutor Illustration, Design and Visual Arts at Wodonga Institute of TAFE to Painting and Life Drawing tutoring at Murray Art Museum Albury - she thrives on sharing ‘what she wished she knew when she started painting’ to students from all stages in their own artistic journey!

After 36 years working as a designer, interior design consultant and calligrapher, she took a leap of faith to now focus solely on her visual arts career – which has opened the door to residencies, awards plus ongoing exhibitions, private sales and commissions.
